Love is in the Air...

Loving the Rain...

Being a California native...I know how much we need the rain!  So I'm loving seeing all of the puddles, creeks and "ponds" where they usually aren't!  We even had fun when the storm took out a power pole and the whole family played board games for the night!

Since we live in the country we don't have curbs and gutters...we have seasonal creeks.  Here is the one that runs across the front of our property!

 

At the front of the canyon there is about 10 acres that is owned by the land conservancy and is a flood plain preserve.  This week it's been a pond filled with all kinds of waterfowl. 

So much fun to see as we drive by!  

I hope all of the other California residents are enjoying the rain as much as I am...keep dry and safe during the storms.

As much as I love fried rice and pot stickers, I must admit, my favorite part of getting Chinese food is awaiting the sweet, prophetic treat that comes with the bill: the fortune cookie.

Happy New Year everyone!

It's 2010 and we can't wait for a fresh start! Start the year off right with one of our inspirational rings to get you headed in the right direction. With the help of a constant little reminder around your finger, make this the year you actually fulfill your New Years resolution!
