My husband Jim grew up in the back of a Volkswagen van....well if you believe his nostalgic version of his childhood summers. So for the last 3 years he's been saying we REALLY needed to get one. Well...I finally gave in, he bought one. Don't tell him, but I'm glad we did.

There is something truly amazing about getting back to nature and spending some time in the dirt as a kid. We spent our first weekend in our "new" van at Shaver Lake in the California Sierras. Spending time as a family in nature always recharges me.
