Ok, so I had a strange question the other day from a close family friend. He asked "So you have your stuff made overseas right? Where?". WHAT?!?!? hmmm....if he didn't know maybe I should make more of a big deal about making all of our work in Sunny California.
How it's done....
I always start with a sketch book... Kinda embarrassing compared to my friend Michelle's sketch books. But I do the quick and dirty method of sketching out my designs. Simple ideas thrown down really quickly.
Then the hunt for the perfect font! I know I've often talked about my obsession with my stamp sets. It is out of control, but what can I do...I love every set! This shelf unit is only about 1/3 of my sets...I know, I tell my husband it's a sickness.
I stamp out the designs, cut out everything, solder it together then it's off to the casting company to be molded.
the mold is taken, the designs are cast using the lost wax technique.
After they are cast hundreds or thousands of them come to us from our California casting company.
Our Pewter Treasures Peace signs
Sorting out our 100 sets of Pocket Thoughts.
When placing an order or requesting a catalog...you might be helped by Trish our new customer service coordinator. She's busy sending out current catalog requests.
New orders go on one of our order boards depending on ship date and other criteria.
We then pull the parts in boxes getting them ready for production to work on them.
One of our Production Staff...Fabulous Deb working on a store's order.
Our Creative Carrie in production, just finishing up a store's order.
If you receive any paperwork from us...Rae has most likely entered it into the computer. She's our Office Coordinator Extraordinaire.
Marlie is often at the studio helping everyone keep a smile on our faces.
He loves his dog bed to be right in the sun.
Our shipping area with a few of today's orders ready to get packaged and shipped.
I hope that gives you a glimpse into how our jewelry is created. We put love and care into every design that leaves the studio. I know how personal jewelry is and how much thought is put into each and every piece you own. I feel so blessed that you have chosen to include our jewelry in your life.

love to see your process Amy! and your beautiful working studio. a jewelry studio is sure nicer than a clock studio :)! haha! xoxo.
